Bail Set for Couple Charged in Death of Daughter
n Albany couple was arraigned Friday afternoon on manslaughter charges filed in connection with the death of their daughter, who died after not being given adequate and necessary medical care, according to the police.
Travis Rossiter, 39, and Wenona Rossiter, 37, pleaded not guilty through defense attorney Paul Kuebrich, who represented them during the hearing.
Their daughter, Syble Rossiter, was reported dead to authorities on Feb. 5.
According to police, the Rossiters belong to the Church of the First Born, a fundamentalist sect that believes in faith healing rather than medical treatment.
Family members declined comment after the hearing.
The Rossiters each face a count of first-degree manslaughter and a count of second-degree manslaughter.
